Accessing services at Extracare is as easy as one, two, three.

Extracare Access to Care

Our simple access to home care will give you the confidence you need to make the call for assistance. It’s not always possible to know exactly what types of service you might need, but if you have a general idea, we can help you figure out the rest. Then all you have to do is call us. We’ll help you decide on a date and time, and then you are done. Easy, 1, 2, 3.

Step 1:  What Kind of Home Care do You Need?

Before contacting Extracare, give some thought to the services you might need. You are the king or queen of your castle, and you are in control of the type of home care that you wish to receive. You can choose from our list of outstanding home care services, any service that is helpful to you:

  • Domestic Assitance
  • Food Shopping
  • Meal Assistance
  • House cleaning
  • Personal Care
  • Respite Care
  • Medication Monitoring
  • Social Support
  • Transport

As an Extracare client, you are free to combine our various services in one visit. For example: Shower, meal assistance, house cleaning.

Step 2:  Call Extracare

Once you decide upon the types of services you would like Extracare to provide, just give us a call. If you prefer, you may email your request and we will either answer your request by email or phone you.

Step 3:  Schedule a Home Care Visit

Our Service Manager will discuss your requirements and provide helpful advice on any other concerns you may have that might meet your needs. At that time you will decide on a suitable date and time that your home care will begin.

After your home care services are assessed and scheduled, our Service Manager will confirm the total cost of care you require. If you think of any questions later, after the call is over, please feel free to call or email and we’ll answer those too.  Easy as one, two, three.

Home Care Services Payment Schedule

Invoices for services are printed after the end of each fortnight after time-sheets submitted by the staff are verified.

Home Care Visit Cancellations

We understand that sometimes events happen that are out of your control. In that case, just give us a call.  We can cancel a scheduled home care visit without cost as long as we have prior notice.  You won’t be charged for the visit as long we receive notification of your cancellation at least one business day prior to your scheduled home care date.

Our clients say we are a unique home care service. We promise you that our staff will go out of their way to ensure your comfort and care.  While attending to your individual level of care requested, your home care staff will also listen to your requests.

Our compassionate and thoughtful staff will vary the service to meet your needs, however, as in all other forms of employment, they must work within set guidelines. This applies particularly in the area of occupational health and safety. There may be occasions when our staff may need to refer your requests back to management.  If this occurs, a satisfactory result will be achieved.
